Podcast Episode 1 - The Millenial Generation with Nick In't Hout

Guest: Nick In't Hout, Youth Pastor at The River Church in Redlands, CA

Topic: Working with the Millenial Generation

Source: Stein, Joel; "The New Greatest Generation: Why Millennials Will Save Us All." Time Magazine, May 20, 2013

As a Youth Pastor, Nick In't Hout is immersed in the millennial generation. We discuss Joel Stein's article in Time Magazine which cites studies concluding that millennials are some of the most narcissistic people on the planet. Boomers seem to have a chronically difficult time understanding them.

In't Hout argues that the way adults treat students has changed over the last few decades, and not for the better. He contends that millennials have lost trust in adults because they've been used by them too often.

The show closes with a discussion on how employers can work with their millennial workforce to tap into young peoples' motivations and talents.
